Earth Energy Supplements Review: Legit or Empty Promise?

Earth Energy Supplements are a small selection of supplements sold by the Earth Energy company.

They are essentially a superfood supplement range, which Earth Energy claims are created alongside wellness professionals to help you feel your best and ‘unleash the immune boosting power of superfoods’.

However, are they all they’re cracked up to be? And are they even good for you? Let’s discuss what they sell, what’s in them and whether they’ve actually gone through rigorous lab testing. (Spoiler alert, they haven’t).

Earth Energy Supplements Products and Ingredients

In order to understand exactly we need to analyse and dissect the products they sell.

The Earth Energy Supplements include:

  • Power Greens
  • Fruits and Veggies
  • Raw Reds
  • Joint Support

Earth Energy Power Greens

Power Greens is a dietary supplement that is designed to provide a blend of nutrient-rich greens, fruits, and vegetables in one convenient serving.

The main ingredients of Earth Energy Power Greens include barley grass, broccoli powder, spirulina and green tea powder. Other ingredients include a metabolic support blend of various herbs and spices including cinnamon, ashwagandha and turmeric.

Earth Energy Supplements Power Greens Nutritional Facts

The claim is that Power Greens will provide you with a wealth of health benefits, including improved digestion, increased energy, and a stronger immune system.

To their credit the ingredients in Power Greens are known to be rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, which can contribute to overall positive health and well-being. Although the extent to which is widely disputed.

In isolation or part of a balanced diet, these ingredients alone could indeed provide you with the benefits claimed. However, it’s difficult to know how much of each ingredient is included in this product as the exact amounts are not included. Just an overall amount of each blend.

Whilst you may be getting 2000mg of the ‘greens blend’ you don’t know just how much broccoli powder or spirulina you’ll be getting as part of that.

And if you want to make sure you’re getting the right amount of vegetables each day, this makes it incredibly difficult.

Earth Energy Fruits and Veggies

The Earth Energy Fruits and Veggies dietary supplement tells a similar story. Designed with a wealth of benefits in mind the Earth Energy Fruits and Vegetables ingredients includes apple fiber, beet root, carrot root and more.

Earth Energy Supplements Nutritional Facts

Earth Energy Fruits and Veggies claims to provide a wide range of health benefits, including improved digestion, increased energy, and a stronger immune system, similar to Power Greens.

And as with the greens powder, the ingredients in Earth Energy Fruits and Veggies are known to support health benefits – in isolation, that is.

But again, the exact serving amount of each ingredient isn’t known so it is difficult to say how effective this supplement is.

As an aside, studies in proprietary blends of pre-workouts have shown that the dosages are usually under recommended efficacious dose. Essentially not providing enough of the ingredient to produce an effective response.

As such proprietary blends of anything, including products claiming to improve health and wellbeing, should be scrutinised.

Earth Energy Raw Reds

Earth Energy Raw Reds supplement includes strawberry juice (fruit), hibiscus, beetroot, raspberry and more.

Raw Reds is claimed to provide a wide range of health benefits, including improved digestion, increased energy, and a stronger immune system.

The ingredients in Raw Reds are known to be rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, which can contribute to overall health and well-being improvements. But again without the exact serving size of each we aren’t sure if we are getting too much or enough of each to support these purported benefits.

What’s more interesting is that the nutrition labels on this and the earth energy fruits and veggies make sure to tell you that the ‘strawberry juice’ is fruit, and that the strawberries in the fruits and veggies product are also fruit.

As if there’s a chance that some of the other ingredients aren’t fruit like you would expect.

Earth Energy Joint Support

Joint Support is designed to support joint health and flexibility according to their website.

The main ingredients of Joint Support include glucosamine, chondroitin, methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), and hyaluronic acid. Other ingredients include ginger, turmeric, and bromelain.

Joint Support is claimed to provide relief from joint pain and inflammation and to improve joint mobility and flexibility.

The ingredients in Joint Support are known to be beneficial for joint health, however, more research is needed to confirm the effectiveness of these ingredients in supplement form, and whether the dosage in these supplements are effective enough to see long term results.

As you can see, the ingredients themselves do have beneficial properties. However, the dosage within the supplements are worth scrutinizing, as studies of greens powders from other manufacturers were inconclusive when searching for health promoting effects.

Benefits and Drawbacks of Supplementing Fruit and Vegetables

Supplementing your greens and fruits and vegetables through products like the ones Earth Energy Supplements make can often lead to negative outcomes. Especially if you’re eating whole foods anyway.

To explain this further, let’s look at the benefits and drawbacks of supplementing fruit and veg in general.

  • Convenience: Powdered fruit and vegetable supplements can be an easy and convenient way to add extra nutrients to your diet. They can be added to smoothies, juices, or other foods, making it easy to incorporate them into your daily routine.
  • Nutrient density: Powdered fruit and vegetable supplements are often highly concentrated, meaning they can provide a large amount of nutrients in a small serving size.
  • Versatility: Powdered supplements can be used in a variety of ways, such as adding them to recipes or taking them as a standalone supplement.
  • Preservation: Some fruits and vegetables lose nutrients when they are cooked, canned or frozen, dried powders keep the nutrients intact.

  • Nutrient loss: Powdered supplements can lose some of their nutrient content during the drying and processing process, so they may not be as nutrient-dense as fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Flavor and texture: Powdered supplements may not have the same taste and texture as fresh fruits and vegetables, and they may not be as satisfying to eat.
  • Cost: Powdered supplements can be more expensive than fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Quality and purity: Not all powdered supplements are created equal, and some may contain additives, fillers, or other ingredients that are not healthy or beneficial. It’s important to research the specific product and purchase it from reputable sources.
  • Potential for overconsumption: since powdered supplements are highly concentrated, it’s important to be mindful of the serving size and not to exceed the recommended dosage, otherwise, it could lead to an imbalance of nutrient intake.

In short, over consumption of nutrients is a real concern. Whilst you may think you are benefiting your health by supplementing your greens, you could risk nutrient poisoning and nutrient deficiencies.

That’s why the recommendation is to always eat a balanced diet made primarily of whole food choices.

And if you feel the need to supplement because you suspect you may be short on a specific vitamin, you should go seek medical advice and have your bloods taken. This way you;ll know exactly where you’re short and supplement that specific vitamin. Saving yourself money and potential medical care.

Earth Energy Supplement reviews are incredibly difficult to come by.

The reviews on their website can not be verified and any external reviews are from websites that seem to be owned by Earth Energy themselves, or are from blogs which ask the same questions: where are the 3rd part reviews?

FDA Certification

Earth Energy Supplements doesn’t promote much confidence in this writer. One should always be skeptical of supplement companies, as these days it’s easier to enter the market and start selling supplements of all kinds.

It’s also incredibly easy to twist the science to your benefit and market something as ‘evidence based’ safe in the knowledge that your consumers aren’t going to fact check you 9 times out of 10.

But Earth Energy Supplements themselves seem to be even less inclined to seem like a legit outfit.

They claim to be based in the USA but their nutrition facts labels, as shown above, seem to be mostly poor translations. Their websites look poorly made. And their reviews do not come from 3rd parties.

Furthermore they’re not even officially FDA approved, which should raise many red flags for the consumer.

Whilst their website mentions that their products are manufactured in an FDA Registered, GMP Certified, facility this does not mean that the products they are selling are FDA approved.

It simply means that the facility these products are manufactured in follows specific guidelines. The FDA has not necessarily evaluated the safety and effectiveness of a product before it has been sold to the public. This process includes clinical trials, lab testing, and other forms of evaluation to ensure that the product is safe and effective for its intended use.

Only products that have undergone this process and received FDA approval can be marketed as safe and effective for their intended use. Bearing this in mind, you should approach these products with absolute caution.

So Are Earth Energy Supplements All the Rage?

Probably not.

From unclear serving amounts of each ingredient in their products to not being FDA approved, the Earth Energy Supplements company don’t particularly wow us in the credibility stakes.

In short. If you eat a balanced diet of predominantly whole foods you do not need to supplement your fruits and vegetables.

Not only is it cheaper to eat fruit and vegetables these days, the chances of becoming nutrient deficient or risk nutrient poisoning are massively reduced.

Eat an apple. Don’t buy a 30 dollar capsule of powdered apples.
